Sphere over St. George, UT

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I was driving to work, as soon as I left my home and was across the street I noticed a bright green glowing orb flying across the sky. It glowed enough that it illuminated the clouds around it. This was at around 5:15AM so it was very dark at night. I spotted it for about 2 seconds before it went out of my view due to houses being in my way. When I rolled further down and had no houses in my way I did not see it anymore.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #165924). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Flashing lights that changed colors. We watched it for about 40 min. It only moved slightly while we were watching. We looked at it through binoculars and it did not appear to be anything we had ever seen before. Interesting video.

St. George, UT

As I was in my backyard I was looking up at the stars setting up my camera (which unfortunately didn’t capture it), and out of nowhere I see three bright dots, slightly less bright than mars, in the formation of a triangle. To be specific, it was an isosceles triangle shape. I was able to follow this triangle with eyes for about 1 second, maybe 2, and then it kept flying out of my view. To be clear, at no point did I see it vanish, it just kept flying and from where I was, I was unable to keep seeing it due to my house’s roof being in the way. It was moving Northwest and at no point turned or rotated. I believe the angle would be 180 degrees, since it was moving practically in a straight Northwest line from where I first saw it, to where I last saw it. If it helps in any way, at around 11:20PM, the location where I first saw this object was fairly close to the positioning of mars at that time. (Not exact, but close to it). The position of Mars was to my Southwest. Overall, this was a perfect triangle formation, moving at an incredibly fast speed, and producing no noise whatsoever. My coordinates were 37°7'5.64'N113'31'47.78 W

Looking to the southwest a ball of intense white light lifted up from the ground and flew low in the sky to the east. I went inside and got my phone and started filming it. It was flashing white, green, red and blue and made a swishing sound.

St. George, UT

I was in my backyard around midnight with my wife, my brother in law and my nephew. My nephew pointed to the north and when I looked there were approximately 100 white lights traveling in a single file line toward the northeast. The individual lights were similar in appearance and speed to when a satellite passes over head. The first part of the procession the lights were close together. The ones on the end were at different intervals with three brighter lights in the rear. The altitude was somewhere between near orbit to airliner cruising altitude. The lights were constant white, without the red and green anti-collision lights associated with aircraft. The objects continued on and eventually faded from sight. We managed to get a single cellphone photograph. Space X satellites, being released from the Falcon 9 capsule. PD
