Light over Winston, GA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I was walking the dog in the back yard and saw two large bright circular lights next to each other with a space between them I took off running into the house with the dog and I told my husband to come outside to see the UFO. We looked at it sitting there still, planes were flying by (we live 25 minutes away from the airport) and they were way smaller and less bright so I'm certain it couldn't have been a plane, I took three pictures. After about 10 minutes of looking at it sitting still, it got really really bright then flew away fast. Not like speed of light fast but faster than a usual plane in the sky.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #165082). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
