Sphere over Conway, SC
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
On May 11, 2021 at 10:00 pm, I stepped out on my back porch for a second. I looked up and over the two story house facing west behind mine because something caught my eye. I saw two pulsating, glowing orange stationary spheres, one a bit lower than the other, as if they were floating. I watched for about fifteen seconds and then looked away to call my husband to come immediately. When I looked back they were gone. They made no sound at all. When my husband got outside I told him what I had seen. We waited about eight minutes and they reappeared again, but they were across Hwy 701 South and there were five of the orange spheres. One of these spheres then darted from right to left towards another one at a very high rate of speed and stopped just as quickly without touching the other sphere. On a clock the movement would have been from two to eight o'clock. No sound. Not pulsating or stationary and then disappeared. Within minutes a low flying plane flew over w! ith bright white landing lights on heading west to east towards Myrtle Beach International Airport. FAA tower supervisor was not able to tell me if any radio traffic confirmed my sighting. Will file a freedom of information application with the FAA. This occurred near a power company solar farm and high voltage power lines.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #163468). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

I was outside with my children and saw four lights in the sky. The objects appeared to be silver and three had white lights and 1 red. They moved about freely and moderately in speed. Two almost touched. [NUFORC annotation: Bird - Possible]

It was round and bright going but three times faster than an airplane real smooth like going next to Columbia South Carolina Way cause when I seen it I was at 701 South Jamestown laundromat well coming up on it and I seen it about a quarter of a mile before I got to the laundromat they had no other lights flashing or blinking like an airplane does because I see helicopters and planes all the time with the lights flashing but this here had no lights flashing and it was a big round bright orb probably a few thousand feet above the tree line kind of look like if you see somebody’s light on a pole or somebody’s house but 100 times bigger kind of wet it resembles but really really bright ;;;

I was sitting on my porch and noticed a large orange orb floating in place around 1000 ft across the road. I walked out to the road to get a better look and the orb was producing multi colored rays of light now and was white in appearance. After 5 minutes it split into 4 orange orbs for a minute, then formed one orange orb again and started slowly moving toward the east out of sight.

As I am driving east on Hwy 501 in Conway, SC towards Myrtle Beach, SC, 7:40 PM, a large formation of bright orb like balls formed a perfect elliptical shape. It rotated and maintained that shape while seeming to rotate along a perfect path. These orbs were about the distance of a low flying helicopter. Much too large to be drones. As it rotated, each orb disappeared one by one and it was gone.

Only entering this because I mentioned it to my wife a couple of days after it happened, and she thought it was odd as well...I initially just chalked it up to military aircraft. Time is approximate, give or take 30 minutes...Sorry. I'm a night owl, so I went out to stand in my garage/driveway to observe the street. I'm a retired state law enforcement lieutenant - so I try to be cognizant of my neighborhood and surroundings, especially since there have been thefts in the neighborhood in the past. I also like to watch the sky (we're on one of the approaching routes to Myrtle Beach Int'l Airport - and, occasionally military planes fly overhead or do touch-and-goes at the airport between the commercial flights). At this hour, I don't expect anything from MB Int Airport, but the stars were out, and I enjoy the panoramic view of the sky this flat land affords me compared to the mountainous/hilly northeast I'm from. I've stared at the stars before, and while star-gazing, I've noticed some slow-moving trajectories across the sky. I realize these are satellites in orbit. I've also twice witnessed the ISS cross the sky above my house (it was reported that it would be flying overhead beforehand by a local weatherman, so my wife and I would go outside to watch it). The slow-deliberate pace of these satellites as they look like stars, but move across the night sky faster, as the the real stars seem to stay in place always enthralled me. Incident: On the above (approximate) date and time, I was again looking into the sky at the stars when I noticed a flashing white light pulsing about every second or so. It was already just south of my home when I first noticed it. It was moving in a north/northeast to a south/southwest direction. I thought it was peculiar because it seemed so high up, like a satellite would appear/similar to a star in the sky. This one was different since the light flashed every second or so, actually flashing like a sparkle in the sky. At first, I thought it was just an airliner (even though I've seen airliners and their lights, and can still make out the red and green lights airliners have even at their cruising high-altitudes). This light seemed higher, the white flashing light seemed very strong, and it was only the one brightly flashing white light, with nothing else. I was thinking that was odd (because the light was flashing so brightly with no other lights) and then I noticed another flashing light coming behind the first. The second flashing light was travelling in the exact same path as the first, only quite a distance behind. I watched the two of them travel in a perfect straight-line/flight path directly behind one another, keeping the somewhat-large distance between them as they continued south-southwest. As I scanned the sky to look for more, I noticed two more bright, flashing lights coming from the north/northeast. They, too, were acting in the same manner as the first two, and following exactly the same straight line across the sky, all while keeping the same distance between themselves and the first two lights/ships. At one point, all four were still in my view, perfectly spaced apart, as they headed downrange to the south/southwest. I did take notice of how how straight their flight-path was, and how perfectly distanced each one was behind the other. Unfortunately, I did not have my phone/camera with me when I stepped outside and witnessed this.
