Light over Fulton, MO

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

We saw a large ball of light falling from the sky. It was much, much larger than a star and extremely bright. It was green, and then changed into a yellow color, then red, and back to green. It was heading straight down, so once it met the horizon we could not see it any longer. The sighting only lasted about 5 seconds. We are both college students who have seen other unidentified objects in the sky before, but have not seen one that was this out of the ordinary, or this large and bright.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #161886). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
