Sharing this strange sighting I came across in the early morning of Thursday January 8th, 2021 @ 1:40am eastern time, just north east of Toronto/Scarborough Canada. Was using an iPhone 11 Pro - 4k/60fps to record this. To set the scene; The first 1minute and 40seconds is the original video shot from my iPhone 11 Pro, while standing out on my balcony earlier this morning. The "star" focal point if you will, is what drew my attention to begin with. I noticed it was flickering more prominent to my naked eye than usual, so I stepped out onto my balcony and decided to start filming out of curiosity. Within 25-28 seconds in I notice a second light source, orb like shape, that had appeared. However this second light source seems to be demonstrating some movement. It begins to dart around erratically. 1 minute 42seconds begins the recording of my laptop screen where I had uploaded the original iPhone video for better viewing/ a more zoomed in view. This is where I point out the second light source with my finger and try to follow it around on my laptop screen a bit. The temperature was around -9 degrees celsius (negative 9 degrees celsius) which makes me think it was too cold to be a bug. I was recording while out on my balcony, therefore I don't think is was any lens flare either (was not recording between glass). The sky was pretty clear for the most part as you can clearly depict the focal star in view, therefore I do not believe it was a laser either? Maybe a drone? Satellite? The movements are quite peculiar.

Waiting for a bus. Spotted UFO immediately hovering over vicinity of St. Clair Reservoir Park. Took six pics on iPhone 6s. Distracted enough to not think of taking a video. After about a minute or two, two groups of young men came along sidewalk and gathered to wait for the bus. We talked briefly and no one could come up with an idea of what it could be. The head and tail were changing colour from blue to green. The head at times looked like a v-shaped jet plane and then would morph and go out of focus to more of a blob shape. Sometimes the head was a bright white colour and then it would change to the same colour as the tail. The tail was moving somewhat and had separate lights within it. Advised by admin. of UFO UpDates to report it. Update from witness: This has been explained as a kite with leds. [NUFORC annotation: Kite - Certain]

There was one light to the southeast, likely over lake ontario, around 11.15pm. Very windy night, cloud cover was passing over. Was at a high altitude but below cloud. I could see it pass through clouds. Light went from dim to very bright to nearly unseeable to bright again. It hovered but was moving around slowly in one area. A plane was approaching from the north, northeast, below clouds. The light slowly ascended as plane flew by. After plane had passed it dropped quickly. The light dimmed, or it moved into the clouds, and I could no longer see it.

The light appeared to the south almost centred on the vertical, looking East Moved from a SSW position, 45 degrees from horizon to a NNW position at 30 degrees on the horizon. At first we thought it was a comet but it was too close, left no trail and was clearly within the Troposphere.

I thought it was a bird but it flew seamlessly. Then I thought it must be a drone. As it got closer I couldn’t understand what it was. Then I thought maybe it’s a plastic bag blown by the wind. There was no wind and this seemed to move controllably. I figured once it flys by, I can see what type of drone it is, as it flew by there was no backing, only a small hump at the back. The only item I could compare it too was that of a dinner plate, but flying horizontally but in a vertical position. I was driving west, this was flying east, above the highway. I didn’t record a video and I kept making rational excuses that this was a man made drone.

It is a round glowing ball that splits into two balls of light and disappears for 2 seconds before reappearing. It appears to be surrounded by white gas. Fly from Lake Ontario to downtown Toronto.

Stationary white light. Saw an object seen to be released from it (as if a second oval vessel) and go down from it with a trail.
