Light over Sauk Rapids, MN

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

My dog (Shih Tzu mix) is on a very strict schedule. He usually doesn’t go outside until 9 PM CST every night like clockwork, but on Monday, November 23rd he demanded to go outside at 6:12 PM. I was admiring how clear of a night it was and looked Northeast towards Cassiopeia, and saw a bright light moving across the constellation. I first thought it was a plane, but planes don’t typically look like a bright star, and planes usually move in one straight line. This light moved fast, but there was a slight wiggle to the line it moved in. It moved in this wiggly line for about 15 seconds, before looking like it was absorbed or swallowed by the sky. Another thing that doesn’t usually happen to planes. My dog had a case of the "zoomies" (hyperactivity) when I was watching the object. Which is odd for my super mellow older small dog. Growing up in the country, I’m no stranger to stargazing and have never seen anything like it in my life. I immediately walked into the house and told my fiancé what had happened I was so shocked. I wasn’t expecting my dog’s spontaneous potty break to be so eventful. I'm glad it happened when it did. I went out to get the mail 20 minutes later and the sky had completely clouded over.

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

First, let me say that I have never seen a ufo, and I believe that what I saw was satellites. I was offloading or delivering gasoline to a station in sauk rapids, mn. I was actually daydreaming about seeing a UFO, when I looked up into the night sky I say a small white light moving at constant speed, and in linear trajectory, in a northernly direction (approximately). It was at very high altitude. As I watched it I noticed it had a second one about 4 seconds behind it. As I continued to watch this, I noticed that there was a continuous stream of these objects (satellites). Over the course of several minutes, I counted about 30 of these objects. I've never seen this many satellites moving together in a straight line, and I considered this to be noteworthy (hence this report)

This was a triangular craft. 3 or 4 lights on the back which were bright and 4 or 5 going towards the tip at different intensities.I have thought I have seen things before... but nothing as definitive as this!!!! Honestly a little scared! I just got home from my daughters hockey game went out back to check on things, its quiet, look up and here it is silently floating across the sky until it faded in to the trees in my back yard and I lost it. I live near a small airport but not a lot of over night traffic, oh it is or was also a blackhawk base or repair site.

Looking in the west northwest direction towards Waite Park, from Sauk Rapids. Altitude was going by the stars. It was same height as the lowest star in the sky . OK, my best description. Me and few friends were sitting outside in his garage. Enjoying the night getting ready to go home. When I looked up which is normal I always watch the sky. When all the sudden I seen a bright glow. Its color was a blue silver start to appear . In comparison lets say it started from nothing there to golf ball size. Then continued to grow. I said my friend hey what look. And pointed right away he says ufo. We never have discussed between each other about our feelings of UFOs so I said u think? He says I don't know. At this point it has grown to the largest thing in the sky. I will compare it to a large beach ball. The whole time this is happening it looked stationary . While it formed to its beach ball size. The total amount of time was 45 seconds to maybe 1 minute and 15 seconds. Then faded in size and brightness to a very dim glow. My kids said they could still see it I couldn't . And my buddy said he could barely see it. That's when it started to move north . In reference to the Mississippi River. My buddy is a computer security programmer. Respectable, trustworthy guy. I told my girlfriend who didn't see it but was there. And she said that's the same area her and her sister had seen the same thing. And it did the whole bright small to large thing about.
