As reported

Sphere over mill creek, WA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Taking dog in front of my house before going to bed. Look up and see brilliant / bright orange/red object silently moving from North to south. Perhaps a couple thousand feet in elevation. Making no noise what so ever. I ran inside and called my husband outside to see it. The craft changed direction and moved westward behind a tree and was gone. It looked similar to the brilliant orbs taped in Sumerlin Estates NV last year. Much lower than a satellite, around the height of commercial aircraft seen in the area. No flashing lights or indications it was any kind of terrestrial craft. Too slow for a meteor,

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #159911). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
