The report, as filed

On September 8, 2020, at 0600 hrs I was standing outside on Granite Street in Rockport, MA, 01966 . I observed two objects approximately 200 to 300 yards off shore Ease of my position that appeared to be facing towards me in a Westerly direction and roughly 50 feet above the water moving back and forth horizontally towards each other and then away from each other. Both of these objects were approximately 40 feet across. Each of the objects had a white lights in the center positioned in a 5 star pattern. I grabbed my cell phone and began recording the event . I was only able to record one of them as the other had moved behind a house that was within my viewing area. The other one I was able to capture a roughly 23 second video of. I later froze the recording and took a couple of screen shots which I am posting. I adjusted the contrast in one of the photographs posted to show more definition. The weather conditions were unfortunately heavy fog over the ocean and therefore I was not able to get a real clear focus with my iphone 6S plus.

At approximately 23:57 hrs on 8/27/2020 I was outside at a residence on Granite St. Rockport, MA 01966. I observed a flying craft approaching from the West over the ocean traveling in an Easterly direction. It appeared as a bright white light which at first I thought to be an airplane or perhaps helicopter. I could see that it was traveling towards me as the light was becoming lager. It was not moving at a very fast rate of speed. Then it began moving in a way that was inconsistent with conventional aircraft that I know of. It moved very quickly several hundred feet to my right and then a few seconds later several hundred feet to my left crossing its original position and then moved rapidly diagonally back across to the right in an upward direction and then again after a few seconds it moved rapidly back to its center position, all motion was in straight lines. At this point it had moved close enough to me that I could see greenish blue lights in a star ! like pattern on either side of the craft, approximately 5 lights on each side. I realized that this was not consistent with conventional aircraft lights. I was now able to also hear the sound that it was making, it sounded like a wooing noise with an oscillating frequency pitch and it continued throughout the time of my observation. At this point I ran in to the house to retrieve my cellphone to video record the event and I returned outside bringing with me a friend that was in the house to witness what was occurring. Upon returning outside the craft had moved over land still heading in the same direction but, my view was now obstructed by the trees in the yard. I was able to see the light now facing from the rear of the craft through the trees as it disappeared from my view. Both myself and my friend could still hear the sound it was making. It then struck me that conventional aircraft, as far as I know, don’t have bright white light facing to the rear as this did. I am a 63 year old male semi-retired entrepreneur/businessman and have worked in law enforcement from 1984 to 1991 at a local Massachusetts municipal police department. I have a clean criminal history and don’t use drugs and was not under the influence of any adult beverages. I reported the event to local police and an officer responded to hear all the details. I followed up with contacting air traffic control in Atlanta who spoke with ATC Logan Intl. control who said that there was no unusual traffic on their radar at the time of the event.

We were watching the antique airplanes flying over from the fly in at Beverly and caught a picture of of a sphere above one of the planes.

I was sitting in the attic of my garage playing a keyboard that sits in front of a large window. I stopped playing to look at the sky when I noticed I could see the moon in the daylight, and it looked quite beautiful. As I'm looking at the sky, I get the bright idea (influenced by an internet forum) to pulse a laser into the sky as it is rumored to attract strange craft. Not believing this in the slightest, I pulsed the light about 10 times in a few seconds. I then noticed a craft slowly flying across the sky to the lower right of where I had shined the laser (at least a couple of miles in the air). When I saw the craft I immediately ceased to use the laser, as I was unsure as to if it was a plane, and the last thing I need is to cause a pilot some distraction. I continued to watch it fly across the sky from west to east at speeds a typical airliner would be flying. The intriguing part was that I could see no wings, no tail fin, and no discernible markings that you can usually see on airliners as they fly in the area. As the craft moved further east, my opinion that it was an airliner went out the window as a large electric-blue ball of light quickly appeared behind the craft, and then in disappeared entirely. The sky was crystal clear in all directions, and at the speed and direction it was flying, it should have continued to be visible for at least another ~3 minutes. It simply vanished.
