Oval over Canterbury, CT
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I was facing South/South-East when I looked up to the sky and saw a bright reflection. A small silver sphere/dot was floating without any movement about 60 degrees above the horizon line. It sat there and floated for about 30-45 minutes with no movement that I could see, eventually I lost sight as clouds drifted in. I was working on a farm at the time, the object seemed very far away regarding its size.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #157650). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Right outside my back door right above a 70 acre field is a bright light really high up but you can tell it's moving up down back and forth but not hovering. Second time we've seen it. No sound at all.

In the sky, over the West facing side of my home, above the tree line. A silver cylinder with what appeared to be rectangular apertures, traveling North to South in a straight line, at a high rate of speed...reflecting the rising sun. A faint jet engine sound could be heard, but there was no trail, and it had no wings.
