The report, as filed
Bright orange light in black circular vehicle. Seen twice first time was a 20 seconds. It came back around second time it was seen longer for about five minutes. My neighbors are lighting fire works all around, so it's not a firework and vehicle is at about 1,000 feet. Can't be a helicopter heard no motors. After a few minutes the bright orange light dimmed and the vehicle was out of site. I am located in the LaGuardia Airport flight path, so it the same height of a plane, but it seemed larger than jetliner.

As I was about to go to sleep, I heard a really loud sound, almost like a buzzing sound. Loud enough to shake the house, but people who were sleeping didn't hear it. I thought that it probably was an airplane flying low, but the sound and volume remained consistent. So I peaked out my window to see what it was. I saw a blurry figure, and it was emitting a blue, almost white beam to the ground. I noticed a sphere descending from the blur. As I was trying to make sense of it all, the sound stopped immediately and the light disappeared. I thought I probably dreamed it, but my neighbor mentioned the loud sound as well without me mentioning anything about this the next day. He was awake at that time too.

Craft was moving very fast and stopped abruptly. Hovered in the sky as it made a chilling sound. Then took off with amazing speed with no acceleration. As it flew away, it disappeared. The lights did not fade in the distance.

The UFO was a saucer shape, and it had bright red lights. It didn't stay around too long.
