Light over Crosslake, MN
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
This sighting occurred Tuesday May 12, 2020 between 9:30 pm and 10:40 pm from Crosslake, MN. Multiple satellite-appearing lights were observed traveling the same trajectory from SW to NE at approximately 3 to 4-minute intervals. I counted 11 in this timeframe. Only one could be seen in the sky at a time. Their path took them through the ladle of the “Big Dipper”. I used binoculars to see if I could detect for wingtip strobe lights or green/red navigation lights to rule out whether these objects were commercial aircraft. None could be visualized.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #156432). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
