Light over Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

At approximately 9:15 pm my husband and I were standing near the river and looked up to see a fleet of about 30 crafts (small lights) moving out of a cloaked area of the sky (north) and moving in a perfect line, perfectly spaced apart to the south. They moved into a space in the sky where one by one each would disappear. No sound at all. The whole event took about 5 minutes. We witnessed about 2-3 more after the initial fleet also come out of the cloaked area to the north and also move south into another “cloaked” area where they disappeared . It was like nothing we have ever seen.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #155999). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

Have to assume these were drones, but could not find similar shapes in search. They were flying slowly, whatever they were. Silent. In the first pass, one was slightly in front of the other, flying along and to the ocean side and just above the Carlyle, a condo building of 3 or 4 stories. Looked like they could have been as large as a small car, but shaped for all the world like a giant tictac. Route was south to north between that building ( Carlyle) and The Lodge and Club at Ponte Vedra Beach. Closer to the Carlyle, and slightly west of Ocean Blvd. watched them go and went back to swimming. Then a 3rd one followed shortly after. Might have been 1 minute, might have been 2. might have been a drone coming back for another pass without its friend. Whatever. 3rd one flew on the other side of the Carlyle, west side of that building, just above roof height. Again the path was south to north. Nothing else happened. No military planes showed up from NAS Jax or Mayport. Assumed if it was dangerous, they would have. Continued my swim. You see all kinds of stuff swimming backstroke, but this was a first. If I had not been swimming backstroke, I would never have seen them -- unless maybe sitting poolside looking north, which no one does because the sun is not coming from that direction. If I'd had a camera or phone, I would have taken a picture. There wasn't anybody else in the pool to do it. I looked around. Employees inside were, you know, inside. Lifeguard either gone for the day or not present at that time. If I had gotten out of the pool to got inside, they would have been gone. I'm not sure on the day, honestly. It was last week ( last week of November, first couple days of December), and I swam in reverse order, Sunday 12/3, sat 12/2, thurs 11/30, tues 11/28 -- sat 11/25 before that. Mostly I swim between 11am and 1 pm. [NUFORC annotation: Drone - Possible]

Large bright blue/ green object traveling at light speed dropped out if the sky and towards the ground and disappeared. Looked like it could be an asteroid or meteor but it did not hit the ground. Very strange. If it was an plane or object it would have done massive damage at how fast it was traveling towards the ground. Appeared to be some type of orb.

Three sets of three lights in a row, turning on then completely dissapearing. One set of three came as close to the beach as to where waves start breaking and lit up, one light at a time and then lights out and nothing. Just completely vaporized. There was nothing to see; not like a car shining its brights, then turning them off. The lights did not cause my pupils to make light impressions after they turned off, into the dark sky. Problem with the time of the sighting. PD

On my way to work 4/4/2019 at 6:50 am, I was stopped at the red light on Palm Valley Road (CR 210) in Ponte Vedra turning left onto A1A when off to the left at about 10,000-20,000 feet in the air, I noticed a small narrow object that looked like the tip of an arrow head, but without wings and it had green propulsion coming out of the back. It was making its way east (from land, out to the Atlantic Ocean) going extremely fast, somewhere around 2,000 to 3,000 mph. There was also no exhaust or vapor trail.

I looked in the sky and saw an orange ball of light with no movement. I called my brother out to see it as well. I took pictures and it looks like a rocky shape surrounds the ball of light. It looked to be above the edge of the coast. We watched for about 20 minutes and it did not move. My brother wanted to go to bed and I was afraid to stay out there by myself, so I could not see what it did from there. Last night, July 4th, it was there again in the same spot and not moving. Possibly a sighting of a planet? Mars? PD
