What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

While star gazing as i do from time to time when I am unable to sleep I had been looking east to South to West ignoring the north. After several minutes I felt I had neglected the North for awhile. And honestly it almost felt like i was being watched. Upon looking north I saw what I initially thought was a flicker of light however within a second I realized it was something else. As I lifted my bino’s up I watched the light transisition into a disk shaped object. When viewed through binoculars I saw a glimmer or some sort of shifting movement maybe. I watched it briefly in shock both with the bino’s and with unassisted eye. It appeared stationary over the mountain approximately 100 feet above the “C” and almost centered over the cross. From my perspective the height could be off as my perspective in the dark was relational. The light started as a small size of about 2-3 feet. However upon closer examination I realized it was indeed a disk shaped object. The disk appeared to be 50-75 feet wide and maybe 15 feet tall. The disk initially was translucent and slowly appeared to be solidifying. It went from shimmering to being a solid object over a couple of seconds. When I realized what it was I thought to myself to get a picture and as I had the thought I removed the bino’s and unlocked my phone for a picture. It then shifted back and forth in place stationary and as I was opening the cam app it flashed away very quickly.

Was watching the fireworks this Fourth of July with my ex boyfriend, when I noticed an orangish light just above the tree line. It would be visible and then disappear, I watched it do that 3 times. At first, he thought it was something related to the fireworks that I was seeing, but he realized it was not fireworks when the light came back and moving fast, from south to north then abruptly making a sharp turn and headed east, then it just vanished. This happened a couple of times before I had the presence of mind to get my phone and try to capture it on video. Literally the moment I started to video it, it vanished. Waited and waited, but it didn't come back. Until after the next weird ass thing happened. As I'm looking for this light, I see an enormous blue laser light cutting across the sky. I've never seen s laser that was that big, nor have I seen a blue one. My house is situated on a hill overlooking the valley, the orangish light had been over the mount! ains to the west and the laser came from the north (either from Colville Mountain or very close). The laser beam was very big and the intensity was so strong, it stretched across the sky. It was very brief, though. I have talked to a third person who also witnessed the laser, but from another location. After the laser went out, I noticed the orangish light was back, but now it was in the vicinity of where I had seen the laser. Once again, it flew along the tree line, back and forth a few times before it disappeared. I did get some video of what was happening, the quality is horrible (I am not an accomplished camera operator), but the light I was seeing is distinguishable. You can even see when it changes to an almost red color. Forgive the fact that my ex is totally bombed and providing non-stop commentary in the back ground :) I really do not know what I saw, only that it did not look like anything I've ever seen before.

I was at the neighbors house, just stepped outside, at the base of a valley, surrounded by forests on all sides. I look to the northern sky and notice what looked like a red blur at first appeared to be multiple red lights in the sky. When I was looking at the lights, they appeared to be a couple of miles away and above the tree line. There isn't any radio towers in that direction from where I live, and the objects did not flash at all. To me they didn't seem to be making a symmetrical formation from where I was. My neighbor and I were talking and I interrupted her to show her the lights. I asked do you see that?? She said yeah the red lights up there? So that confirmed to me that I wasn't just having an optical illusion/hallucination. I've seen lights and strange behavior of lights in the night sky that I can't explain, but I haven't ever seen a cluster of red ones.

At around 8:30 pm, I went out and turned off the yard light. I noticed a light that blinked different colors. Red blue white. It kind of jumped around in the sky. I went in the house getting my roommate who came outside with me. She grabbed the binoculars. Looking through the binoculars we could see the colors better. Sirius? PD
