As reported

Sphere over Riverdale, NY

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Standing on my balcony just before the sun fully set so the sky was still lit up a bit, I was on the phone with my father. I began looking around the sky and right above me was a cluster of glowing orange orbs and they had to be about 20,000 ft up, close to planes. The instant that one orb would phase out another would light up in another spot, but there was no craft present after each light phased out. This went on for a couple of minutes, one orb disappearing and another reappearing across from it. I was on the phone but was speechless and mesmerized watching this and did not even think to take a photo or video and in fact didn’t even tell my father on the phone what I was seeing and cannot explain why other than I was just entranced. Eventually the lights stopped and were gone altogether, again no physical craft seen. [NUFORC annotation: Starlink - Possible]

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #176648). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
