Light over Brunswick/Knoxville, MD
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I was driving down 340 toward the Virginia line, a bridge crosses the Potomac river. A bright white light seems to be hovering just over the ridge line about 500-1000 feet. There where no other lights then white, it didn’t seem to move as I got closer. I lost site, behind some trees, as I got close to the mountain ridge it was over. It appeared to be over top of the river and not the ridge like I initially believed.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #154209). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
