Light over St. Cloud, MN

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

The first thing we noticed was a weird trail of smoke almost appearing as though a rocket had been shot off or crashed. We went to follow the smoke first, but then saw these weird lights that almost looked like moving stars. They were very synced in their movements. One would fly off into this trail of smoke (still in the sky for over 30 minutes) then it would disappear. The next would follow, and so on. As they enter this what appeared to be a trail of smoke they would disappear. The trail of smoke would then shift and became larger in the sky. We watched this happen for 2 hours consecutively.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #153993). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
