Light over San Angelo, TX
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Four people, adults in 60’s and 70’s, saw NW 30-degree azimuth in night sky over San Angelo, TX on February 22, 2020. It was like a huge star in the sky but with several distinct lights. Possibly four lights in a diamond shape with two lights trailing. Looked like a star low in the sky at first, but much larger. We could see it from the car as we drove four or five miles back to home also in the same town. The object did not move. Stayed in the same place as we watched. It was not a star – we could see stars above us in the sky clearly. These lights were golden in color. We got out of the car and still could see the light clearly. Our neighbors were frightened and went inside their house. We went out in our car to try to find it, driving toward Lake Nasworthy. But the light had vanished. It was just gone. We saw it clearly, and it was very large, for about 20 minutes. Then it was just gone.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #153521). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

My son & I were coming back from youth group night & were north bound on loop 306. All of a sudden we both noticed a huge glow in the sky- it was so bright & appeared to be green. We both noticed it hovering & then saw it head west & in a flash- it was gone. No trace was left behind. It appeared to be close to Goodfellow Air Force Base. We noticed an abnormal amount of AFB action in the sky after this.

On July 4th, 2020, we saw a strange amber orb descend from sky. After zooming in I noticed two lights aligned vertically. Bottom one faded in and out and finally disappeared. I have to mention it was eerily quiet ..and it was the 4th!!!!

Again we looked out towards the North Star and witnessed 19 lights travel across the sky two at a time. This time there was a longer time between the lights as well as distance. It seemed as if they were lower than they were two nights ago. What is this?

I was heading from north to south on Abe Street, when I spotted this thing. According to my watch, it was just after six in the evening. Off to my right, this bluish white ball looked as if it were descending towards the Concho River. As I approached Santa Fe Park, the ball of light made a hard banking turn and continued to descend over the river. The object traveled from west to east. Checking the rearview mirror, I could tell that the drivers behind me knew something was going on. The car behind me began to slow down. After making Santa Fe Park Dr., I proceeded west. En route to pickup my daughter, I didn’t want to be late. But this thing was headed straight towards me. Estimating, I would say the object was no more than 700 feet from the ground. Blue-white in color and the thing sort of flickered, like an image on a television screen sometimes does. But it was that banking turn, like this thing just rolled onto course and followed the bend in the river. Thirty feet in diameter, and it wasn’t travelling very fast. In fact, it passed me slowly as it continued eastward. I’m not sure what speed it was travelling at. The thing went by silently. All of a sudden it was directly over my truck about as high as a helicopter again. Then it traveled agaist the wind for about 10 blocks and went in line with the sun where we couldn't look at it any more and kept going straight up. Have not seen it again since. I attempted to record it but my phone could not focus on it. I got 2 images that are blurry, but I will send them via email. We have amended the date above, to reflect a sighting in 2018, and not in 2017. PD

From the HEB store parking lot just after 8pm, taking two pictures of the haboo dirt storm rolling into San Angelo from the West. From March 21, 2017, at 8:03 PM. ISO 400, f 2.2, focal length 4.80mm. Samsung SM-G900V camera. Both photos show a group of 4 orbs/spheres shaped objects in a group on the edge of the dirt storm clouds. There is a colored aura around the objects in the second picture. They were silent, and not even seen by my naked eye, only visible in the 2 pictures of the dirt storm front. Both pictures were taken within 1 minute. The 4 objects moved at least 15 degrees and become more visible in the second picture. There was no sound of jet engines or afterburners aimed at me as it appears. San Angelo has a U.S. Air Force base, so it could possibly be stealth technology. We suspect lens flares, caused by street lamp. PD
