The report, as filed
I was driving home the evening of Saturday, December 14th, heading East along MN Highway 5, when I noticed above the tree line and slightly south of the road (which runs east to west) a pair of very bright orange lights hovering in mid-air. They were stationary and did not move for a few seconds, and all of a sudden they both moved downward at an incredible speed, with seemingly no acceleration. As they descended, it seemed that they came together a bit, to form what would have been a V, with both of their original positions as the top forks of the V, and their trajectory heading downward toward a common point. The left light started to descend first, followed after a split second by the right light. They seemed to move at the same speed, though it was so fast that I couldn't measure the speed. Suddenly they were gone, and I watched, waiting for them to return, but saw nothing.

We were driving north on highway 41 between Lyman Avenue and 82nd Street in Chanhassen, MN, when we saw an object floating through the air over the road, going west to east. Although the sun had set, there was still plenty of light to see and the sky was still bright. The object was an oval shape with dark edges and a center the color of the sky. It was about at a height that I would expect a kite or flock of ducks. So, at first we thought it was a smoke ring or flock of birds or a giant balloon. However, as we drove closer, and it continued to move over us to the east, it became clearer that it was a very distinct disk or saucer. Since we were right under it, the oval shape we saw in the distance had changed into a circular disk form. Again the edges were clearly visible as a dark outline against the sky and the middle was now similar to a reflection of the sky, but more muddled and it included a swirl of feint lights. My wife and I were stunned in the front seats and I slowed the car down as there were no other cars immediately behind us. As we passed underneath and it continued to move east, I accelerated and made a right turn on 82nd and into the immediate parking lot on the right side. Perfect circular shape. Bright lights above the thick clouds. Appeared and remained stationary for a few mins (abt 10 mins). Then disappeared when an aircraft approached. We live in a very quiet neighborhood. No lights were beamed from below. It wasn't flying in the air like a kite with lights. Suspected advertising lights at a local casino. PD

Over the last two weeks we have observed several stationary objects, that rapidly flash lights. The colors appear to be Red,Blue and White. It mostly resembles a police with it lights on. The objects are stationary and visible for hours. These have been witnessed by myself and my girlfriend on several occasions now. I also was telling a family member about them a night prior while in Byron MN and we were able to find one in the sky at that location as well. The flashing colors and stationary position are obvious. There are lots of aircraft that pass where I live due to MPLS international Airport being close. I first noticed one about 2 weeks ago and as I grew more sky aware and curiousity have observed up to 4 at one time over the different nights. There is currently one to the north of my location as I type it. It is why I'm reaching out. I found a video on youtube of a news casts that describes these similar objects as well. Driving down the highway and saw two objects both having white triangular lights beneath with a red pulsating light in the middle.
