Sphere over Wallagrass, ME
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
This morning, (12/04/2019) I stepped out onto my front porch, (facing to the east) in order to take a few pictures of the sunrise as per my normal routine when it looks like view will be unusual or especially colorful. As I lifted my cell phone and started framing the view, that's when I noticed a strange object moving erratically in the sky. I started snapping pictures as fast as the camera would let me. Then, I decided to switch to video. I looked away for just a few seconds to change the setting of my camera to take video, (maybe 5 seconds). When I looked back up, there was no evidence at all that there was ever anything there.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #151286). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
