Light over Madison/Painesville line, OH
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
We were driving towards home on Dayton Rd. In Madison. Off to the West, appeared to be close to the Madison/Painesville line, I saw two lights, at first glance, thought they were stars but then noticed they just looked a bit different and too large. Within seconds the lights slowly moved towards each other, then merged into one and then faded out completely. Did not see them again. The light was not bright like that of a plane, it was more ambient. Hard to describe, but definitely was odd. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #148636). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
