The report, as filed
I had stopped by my neighbor’s house while out walking my dog as he usually has a fire in his fire pit during the upper Midwest’s wonderful summer evenings. Typically, we chat and socialize for an hour then I return home. His home faces West and I was talking with him on his back patio on the eastern side of the house. We were chatting when he turned around and pointed up to the sky to make joke about UFOs while pointing to a plane that was flying by. When I looked up, I mention that there are two planes, but they were just solid bright white lights and flying low, at that point I noticed that there were not flashing wing lights indicative of plane. We both watched the lights moved from the SSW to NNW across the sky. One light followed the other at a set distance during the entire travel. The lights as I mentioned, were low to start but they moved gradually higher and higher in till they disappeared into space well before the horizon. The object made no so! und which is atypical on a clear night with low flying airplanes. The event lasted 2-3 minutes. We both agreed that these were not airplanes, helicopters, balloons or any other type of flight vehicle that we could identify.

it was dark out, the object looked like some sort of satellite/telescope but it was really close. it was bigger than the size of a med flight helicopter when it’s flying fairly close to the ground. it didn’t make any noise, and rotated as it moved smoothly across the sky. i didn’t think it would be a satellite unless it was really, really large because typically satellites look more like a small dot moving smoothly across the sky. this moved smoothly but it was bigger and up close. it was a different color than the sky which was what allowed me to see it, but the object was still dark in color. rough details of shape are attached in the picture. also i checked the ISS position and it was nowhere near my location.

At approximately 212030MAR20 observed 24 objects coming from the west traveling east the lead two objects were parallel to each other and every other object fell in trail formation behind the northern most lead object. All objects maintained the exact same spacing interval and at approximately 50° above the western horizon each object flared brightly. None of the objects produced any noise and we estimate the altitude to be somewhere at or above the stratosphere level. The event lasted approximately 15 minutes. First witness is a 10 year Army Scout veteran Second witness is an active duty Army Scout of 15 years We were conducting a night time coyote hunt when we noticed the objects moving overhead I have two IPhone videos but they lack quality due to low light.
