The report, as filed
We drove past a short line of trees, that took approximately less than a minute to drive past, and when we were at a point to see the sky again, the light was gone. It had just disappeared. Given that it appeared stationary when first observed, it was highly unlikely that it had moved beyond the line of sight in such a short period of time at the speed that would have been necessary to do so. I was unable to find the light again after that.

I seen a fast moving formation of 3 lights in a straight line that had a definition of a dark/haze cylinder shaped object I could make out that the lights were on. It was moving very fast and almost seemed to fade away. About 20 minutes later it flew back in the exact same spot I seen it the first time headed the opposite direction.

Daughter was on the deck looked up and seen the triangle of lights. She called me to come and see but it was gone by the time I made it outside. We both watched the area where it was for about 30 seconds and we both seen a blue flash in the sky then nothing for a few seconds then the triangle of blue lights reappeared for a few seconds before disappearing quickly to the south. There were photos posted on August 30th of this year to this site from this same area and were exactly what we witnessed. Unfortunately our photo was obscured by smoke and lacked any detail.

Daughter took an underexposed pictures and inadvertently captured the object. Very unexpected, but simple siting... felt important enough to report.

Driving on hwy 93 south from Lolo, MT, a very bright sparkling light in the sky ahead of witness caught his attention. Object was stationary, just at the bottom edge of a bank of storm clouds that were producing lightning. Witness watched while driving south for a couple of minutes. Object just sat there, twinkling very brightly. Then it appeared to back up into the bottom edge of the cloud and disappeared. Witness first impression was that it was an airplane coming in for a landing at Missoula airport, but wondered why it just hovered there.

Large bright light with some red moving very slowly in the west. Then just faded. Two nights in a row. Second night seen by three people. Seemed to go behind the peak.

A circular cloud growing to double concentric circular clouds with a yellow/orange colored object in the center of the cloud. Radius of cloud approximately between 5 to 10 moon diameters at maximum extent. Object moved with cloud and cloud became fainter and larger over a period off 15 min but could still follow faint colored object as it moved very very slowly across the star background. Sighting occurred first east of the star, Sirus and moved north east in the sky. Thought initially it was a supernova but could see an object in center of cloud move with 10x50 binoculars. ((ADDENDUM FROM MR. TED MOLCZAN, OF SEESAT-L)) Hello Peter, The fuel dump from the Centaur stage of last night's Atlas V launch, was widely visible to the unaided eye from N. America. It began on Mar 13 at about 04:15 UTC, and was visible for about an hour. Ed Cannon, a long-time member of SeeSat-L, described his sighting as follows: http://satobs.org/seesat/Mar-2015/0143.html The Centaur was on a high-elevation pass, that moved west to east across the southern sky. It climbed in altitude from about 2,500 km to more than 20,000 km, on its way to its apogee of about 70,000 km.
