Light over Tucson, AZ
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
What we saw and for how long: We both saw five goldish looking lights, about 40 degrees above the horizon lined up horizontally but tilted slightly, The left most light was significantly brighter (about as bright as a car headlight from a quarter mile away) than the others. The distance was hard to judge but I would guess between 2 and 3 miles. They appeared to be drifting slowly to the west (left) and all of a sudden they just disappeared, as if a light switch was turned off. We saw these lights for about 10 seconds before they disappeared. What we didn’t see: We didn’t see the lights appear, other than when we noticed them, so we can’t vouch for how long they were visible. We did not see a craft or crafts that may have been emitting the light. There were no blinking lights associated with them, as seen on normal aircraft; in fact as we continued to drive north, about a mile and a half past the original sighting, we did not see any aircraft in the area at all. The lights did not behave like fireworks, military aircraft flairs, drones or shooting stars, all of which we have seen many times. About us: I am an Engineering Technician/Metrologist and my wife is a teacher. We are both sky watchers and have witnessed many unusual things in both the daylight and night skies. We both try to think of logical explanations for anything that we experience but we can’t explain what we saw.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #145749). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

As I was looking up I saw this white oval/round light moving slow with a halo around it. NO SOUND, but it was high. I saw it in a break in the high clouds. I watched to see it come out from the cloud it flew in or above. By the speed it was going it should’ve appeared in less than 10 seconds. It didn’t come back and I watched that spot for maybe 30 seconds. When I didn’t see it I got up and walked out so I could see more of the sky. There was high clouds as I said, but There was plenty of open space in the sky to see it. There was nothing to be seen. I watch the sky for maybe 8 or 10 minutes.

Sitting on patio facing wester sky. At approx. 7:30PM, at about a 45 degree angle at 280 degrees west, three objects began moving from the same spot in three different directions. Size approximated a bright star. Speed was faster than any satellite we've seen. And they disappeared when approx. overhead. Within a minute or two, from the same originating spot, one took off at the same speed towards the SE. We lost count but around six to eight repeated with about 30 second intervals. The last event was two pair on the same track as the others. They made no sound. My wife and I both clearly saw the objects. She thinks they were meteors - after some research on Utube, I saw nothing similar via video or by verbal description. I'm not sure what they were. Contact me if you wish.

Big bang, happened once at 530 and then again at 740 pm, over 20 lights flashing at first in and then moving like planes but erratically and disappearing and then reappearing, then completely disappearing all together except one looked like it landed on Sabino Canyon. Then all of a sudden they would reappear after disappearing and move, some really fast, others slow and then disappear again.

While driving up a hill and approaching our driveway, I noticed an object flying low over the neighborhood houses. As it came closer, I noticed that it was not a plane nor a helicopter and it was not flying south towards the Tucson airport - which is the usual flight route for planes. Instead it was flying over the back of our house and going east towards Mount Lemmon. Immediately, I knew that it was unusual and I asked my husband to look at it and tell me what it was. He told me that it was a UFO. When I parked the car in the garage - the silvery looking disc/object disappeared from view. We were both in shock. This happened on Friday afternoon at about 3:30 P.M.
