Disk over Clay, WV
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I was on a commercial aircraft above central West Virginia. We were at an altitude of 32,000 feet at a speed of about 400 mph at sunset. Some clouds in distance and craft was in front of those clouds. It looked to be at least 20 miles away. It seemed to move and stop. Then it disappeared and reappeared in a different place. I took two pictures with my Android phone. The craft seems very small but can be seen stationary in 1st pic and moving in 2nd pic.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #145642). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
