Light over Alpine, UT

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Looking out of the window at the eastern night sky, my husband saw a cluster of 50-60 lights that looked like stars, move westward over the mountain towards us. The cluster moved slowly and silently. We went outside to watch them as they stopped then moved north, the cluster shape changing. They slowed, then one by one the lights started moving south in a single file. The whole process took about 15 minutes until the lights were out of our line of sight. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #145428). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
