Light over Liberty Town, MD

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I was driving on New Windsor Rd (31), towards New Windsor, at about 6:20am. There is farm land, with patches of trees, and a few houses around this route. I saw a single bright white light to my left. It was rounded, with no other discernable shape. I didn’t hear any noises. I’m not sure where it originated from as it appeared out of my blind spot when I noticed the light. I would have to guess about North/North-East. It made a quick descent at about a 90 degree, and then curved back to being straight. The best way I can describe the flight pattern is by saying it flew the path of an old metal slide facing away from you. It disappeared in the tree line.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #145370). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
