Light over South Weymouth, MA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

At 9:15pm, I and 8 others were outside smoking in South Weymouth, when one of us who was looking north by north west in the sky towards Quincy, Ma., mentioned a blue light. The light which was blue violet in color was pulsating from semi-intense to almost completely unnoticeable. It would seem important to mention that there was no discernable pattern to the pulsating. Also 2 days ago an identical light was photographed in Quincy, Ma, and posted to Facebook with a caption "did anyone see this light last night?"

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #145358). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
