Light over Mount Juliet, TN
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
On Feb. 24th, 2019 at about 8:25 PM CST I stepped out to the back patio for a smoke. I sat down and was looking at the stars which I hadn't seen in awhile due to all the rain we've had. I noticed 4 amber lights moving as fast as a shooting star across the sky. They were spaced evenly between them, did not make any sound, and were heading northwest in direction. I did not have enough time to retrieve my cell phone and it probably wouldn't have captured it. Within 4 seconds, the lights had traveled out of sight. I would say they were below 2,500 ft altitude. I live in a townhome complex and there are single story units behind mine looking west. The lights appeared over me, and were past the roofline of the other townhomes in the 4 seconds before being out of view. I live close to the Nashville airport and there were plenty of aircraft visible at the time.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #144994). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

My husband and I were stargazing while floating around in our pool last night (June 22, 2015 around 10:40pm) when he pointed out a small puffy cloud moving along fairly quickly North-North West on an otherwise cloudless night. The cloud didn’t seem to change shape at all, nor break apart. Then it got weird, and my husband and I actually got out of the pool and asked each other at the same time ”are you seeing this?”. As the small puff-cloud passed over what we thought to be a bright star, the star began moving WITH it. The cloud then shrank in size around the star and became very bright, (about the size of four Jupiters in the winter sky) and was moving with good speed. As it kept moving it eventually faded, and disappeared. This could have been seen crossing over I-40 in the Mount Juliet area, around 10:40. I’d like to note, we’ve never seen anything like this before and hope someone else will report it as well. ((NOTE FROM MR. TED MOLCZAN)) Hello Peter, Your hunch probably is correct. The Sentinel 2A satellite was launched on a Vega rocket from the Guiana Space Center, last night at 9:52 PM EDT (Jun 23 01:52 UTC). Coverage of the launch was here: http://spaceflightnow.com/2015/06/22/vv05-mission-status-center/ SeeSat-L received several reports of sightings near 23:49 EDT (3:49 UTC), of what appears to have been exhaust from the final burn of the Vega rocket's AVUM liquid fueled upper stage. That burn lowered the perigee to ensure that the object decays from orbit within a reasonable time, in order to curb the growth of space debris. http://satobs.org/seesat/Jun-2015/0193.html http://satobs.org/seesat/Jun-2015/0194.html http://satobs.org/seesat/Jun-2015/0195.html http://satobs.org/seesat/Jun-2015/0198.html http://satobs.org/seesat/Jun-2015/0199.html Marco Langbroek blogged his analysis: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.nl/2015/06/aurora-hunter-images-last-moments-of.html Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Around 8:30pm, I was driving toward Providence from MJ road, when I saw something in the sky. Hovering about a quarter of the way from the moon to the ground, so pretty high up. At least 3-5 red lights. It wasn't moving or getting closer or further away and the lights didn't blink like a plane, but faded in and out one by one in a rotating circle or triangle. Lost sight of it after 30 seconds for about 10 seconds and it had vanished. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
