Light over Hacienda Heights, CA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

At night, parked at a target while in my car about a week ago I Seen a bright blue light flash across sky like a shooting star and disappeared. I thought it was my eyes playing tricks, thought it could just be a shooting star, but tonight while sitting in my car and looking at the night sky, I saw a similar light about the size of a star/circular. It was white light this time, shoot across sky and disappear... they both reminded me of shooting stars, very fast almost blurred. Not sure, but I doubt shooting stars are that visible in LA with all the smog. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #143694). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
