Light over Lovelock, NV

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

While driving on I-80 from Lovelock, a bright white light appeared towards the south west with what looked like a ring of smoke or mist around the light. From the light came a beam shining down, over the time it was in sight though the lights began to change to 6 distinct beams all coming from the center of the light source. As we drove closer the lights coming from the center began to point up and came to 2 distinct beams that were very bright. After 15 minutes the light disappeared and left what looked like an exhaust trail. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #143413). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
