Light over Middletown/Braddock Heights (between), MD
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
The bright white lit object did not have the charecteristics of a meteorite burning up in the earths atmosphere. I have wittnesed that experience many times, and they differ of coarse. However this bright white lit object that came from the night sky starting somewhere close to the center point from where the little dipper was and the ground was.I knew it was different from anything ive seen falling from the sky before. It did not burn up and it was going way to slow ...It simply lit up bright white and stayed the same brightness for as long as i could keep it in sight. The house accross the street obstructed our view and it hit the ground... It was round like a globe or disk… Bright white. ! Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #136912). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
