As reported

Oval over South Easton, MA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

The object resembled a helicopter, an elongated silver object. It was dangerously low, directly above the treetops in yard. It flew over my home and my neighbor's home for about thirty seconds (two times). In terms of what it did, it simply flew over my home twice, and hovered over an area between my neighbor's house and mine. It never landed nor did anybody come out. A few hours later, the same object appeared, however, it was much higher and only flew once over my neighbor's home. They were not home at the time of this sighting. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #134343). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
