Light over Gull Lake, MI

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Was laying down and noticed a very bright light in the sky. Thought it was a star until I noticed its very small movements. Once my friend came to take a look it had gotten further away and moved a bit to the side in the sky. Eventually it got so much distance it looked like a smaller light as if it slowly drifted up in the sky. At first I was able to see it bright and easily from where I was laying and after about an hour it was much further away and it had moved to the point where I couldn't see it from where I was laying anymore. Source of the report elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #133147). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
