The report, as filed
On 2/09/2017 I was awakened by a loud sound at approx. 3:15 in the morning. The sound appeared hollow and metalic in nature. It sounded as if air was being blown through a large hollow metal tube. I ran to look out my window in the direction of the sound. My window faces the forest. I was shocked to see an illuminated rectangular shaped object, the top area of this standing rectangular object was arched (almost like a boxed shape of a man); It moved amongst the trees and from time to time the light would go out. I watched in amazement for what seemed like 3 minutes. There was also another object about 20' away from this object. It was Saucer-shaped and had 3 strobing lights around it. It appeared to Hoover about 15' from the ground. I wanted to capture the images of what I was seeing so I ran and got my cell phone and began recording what I saw. I recorded the 2 objects and the sound that I heard that woke me up. My footage is 1 minute 23 seconds long. I stopped recording when the saucer like object flew off in the distance. Around 9 PM yesterday evening I saw a somewhat low-flying aircraft that was a rectangle shape and had green lights on the underside in the shape of a half oval at each end of the rectangle speed across the sky above me. It was loud and I could hear it coming towards me. It sounded almost like a tornado and I heard it in both the sky and the trees. I went inside and around 9:20 I heard a loud aircraft and felt my house shake, so there may be another one flying around, or the same one.

I was in the back yard doing some astrophotography work and I looked up to see a form flying in a straight path over my house from the east to the west. I couldn’t tell what my eyes were seeing exactly and there are two ways to describe it. It looked as though it was a translucent boomerang shape with the curved part as the leading edge. But it also could have been the leading edge of a circular shaped craft with some kind of cloaking device on as the leading edge shape had a rippling/rippled effect along with the translucent appearance. It made no sound and with that and no reference point I could not tell if it was a large object 400-500 feet in the air or a small object 50-60 feet off the ground. The cops of trees that it flew over average 50-80 feet high so it was at least above that. The air was still. Barely a slight breeze, super clear night, 51 degrees F and cooling off. 95% of all flight paths in my area are N/S coining in and out of Reagan, Dulles and BWI. I’ve seen UFO’s before and this one was very unusual as it was very movie like in it’s quality.

I was moving SOutheast on Princess Anne Street in Fredericksburg near the train station, and high in the sky I saw a very bright light that was moving from right to left, but the light was pointing to the right. The light was very very bright, pointing to the right, but it also had a large cone of light associated with it- Like a giant comet or something in the sky- It really reminded me of pictures of a comet, where there is a huge tail of debris, but there was a bright light pointing backwards as it flew- It was not like any airplane I had ever seen.

My wife, kids, son-in-law, and myself watched a bright white light move quickly in a C shape across the sky above our horse field. It then turned to the north and proceeded in a straight line. We lost sight of it in the tree tops only to see it, or a second light come back in the opposite direction across the sky and then vanishing. It had no sound nor any FAA blinking lights.
