Sphere over Gila, NM
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
The object zigged and zagged for 1-1/2 hours in the southeastern sky. It would make circles and go off in multiple directions in a second. At first I thought it was a satellite, but it was making bizarre patterns all around itself. Up, then down, then sideways, then in a circle--constantly for that length of time I watched it. The speed in which it travelled was in the blink of an eye, very quickly and haphazard movements. Star or planet?? PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #132273). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
