The report, as filed
I was sitting on the side of my house talking with my friend and he yelled out "Yo, what is that? Do you see that Eric? Tell me you see that!" as he pointed up to the sky I saw a UFO high up in the sky that was stationary at first then began slowly moving in one direction heading north west, it then shot away into the sky arcing away from the earth leaving behind a light streak that slowly trailed behind it for roughly 1 - 2 seconds. It's vector suggested it was headed in the direction of procyon, sirius and betelguese. I remember the stars specifically because I whipped out my google sky map app to track the stars in the vicinity out of fear of forgetting where in the sky exactly it shot off to. My friend Matt was there as well and was actually the first to spot it. The reason I am reporting it now is because I never knew there was a reporting center until I used Chat GPT to ask about this sighting and it told me to report it to the UFO Reporting Center.
