The report, as filed

At about 7:00 AM, a round disc of light appeared in the sky below the clouds. After about 15 seconds of hovering, it went back up above the clouds slowly dimming as the clouds around it got thicker and as it got higher. The light it generated was white. From my perspective, it was about quarter inch in diameter, which could mean it was actually 100 feet wide in diameter from that distance. At 0400 on June 13, 2016, I awoke to look out my north facing window to see a very unusual bright light to the NNE of my home. The object was fixed in the sky, and I could not determine the distance from my home. It appeared above the mountains. Using binoculars I could determine that the object was displaying three different color lights, red, white and green. The object stayed in a fixed position until the clouds obscured it, and later when the clouds were gone, it was daylight. I was concerned that this might just be a star, or something, so this morning, I awoke at the same time to observe the sky in the same position. The object was not there.
