Light over Bamber Lakes, NJ

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Alternating blue and red lights that at time went all red and then all blue. Craft was due west of our location, in a position just above the tree line. It sped very quickly from side to side, and diagonal, and up and down. It moved so very fast that it took your eyes a split second to re-adjust when it stopped. When it stopped the lights would alternate from blue to red. It suddenly sank below the tree line, and we lost sight of it. We both got into my pickup truck and rode over to Bamber Lake to try to catch another glimpse but it was gone. The lights were very intense in brightness as the light omitted from an arc welder.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #129437). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
