Light over Howe, OK
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I went walking far away from my house across the highway in the back roads to a field. after I turned on my flashlight because it was really dark. I looked up in the tree with my flashlight and I could barley see it but it was a light that got really bright it seemed to me like it was aurora bright. it shined through the tree and i could tell because of my flashlight with in 2 to 4 seconds it disappeared with no sound at all it seemed like. I tried to hurry fast and look passed the tree to actually see it and it could have been a spiral light but im not sure at all really it was some where between 12:00 to 3:00 when i seen that.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #128857). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
