The report, as filed
Driving Home to Delta, on road by Materion, and noticed light in sky. Thought it was an airplane, but it was just hovering there. Then it just took off to the right and left a light trail in the sky that slowly disappeared. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Yes I thought I wrote July 21, 2016, @ 20:00hrs on the report. And I'm in Delta, UT, out in the middle of nowhere, and whatever I saw, I thought was a plane or a shooting star, but was brighter and out of place, just sitting in the sky. Then it shot off to the right of me, leaving a fading trail behind it. I was just driving home when I saw it. I have a Daughter in Wichita, Kansas, so I never changed my number. Thanks for the reply I thought your number wasn't valid and you were going to throw little green men jokes at me, or something. And the laughing was the Benny Hill Show. ((END ADDENDUM))

I was looking up at the stars and I noticed some very dimly illuminated objects appear in the Eastern sky. They were moving westward in a very tight vee formation. The formation was probably half that of the diameter of the moon. I estimate that there were 5 objects formed tightly together. I had a clear view of most of the sky and these objects crossed East to West almost directly overhead in maybe 2 seconds and out of my view. There was no sound which accompanied the objects. Because they were dimly illuminated and moving so fast, I couldn't determine how far away the objects were. They were moving too fast to be satellites. Too silent to be low flying jets. I didn't think they were birds or bats because of both speed and lack of wing movement.

35 objects flying approximately 1,500 feet above ground going in a straight line-type formation. Many of them were in groups of 3. A few of them were flying irregularly by going faster than the others. The formation covered a few miles in distance from firsts to lasts. The speed was much faster than an airplane and the formation made clear they were not satellites, flares, or other man-made things. The most sorprendente event was when they disappeared as they flew into a hole not much bigger than they were.
