The report, as filed
As fireworks were going on in the distance I observed a bright orb shaped object slowly approaching from the distance. I pulled my iphone out and began trying to capture this object on video. This isn't the first observation of similar objects. I have multiple videos of these objects. I know for a fact these object are not planes or any other aircraft I have ever seen. I live within 5 miles from the Portland International Airport PWM. And I've lived here for over 10 yrs. Never have I seen anything like this before my first siting. We've changed the time to reflect a nighttime sighting. PD

At first, it was just a red dot, I thought maybe mars was brighter than usual, then it started moving quickly and stopping on a dime, changing directions and moving up and down all while changing from red to blue, it stuck around for around an hour moving in an area of about 6 miles or so as if seeking something, at one point an Osprey approached the position as if responding at which point the light vanished when the Osprey started to leave the light reappeared right behind it and continued circling the area as if searching. Car alarms went off in the area the craft was, I have no idea if it was connected. I wanted to take video and tried but my phone cam is terrible at night.

I saw the craft and immediately noticed something was strange. There we other planes in the sky all of which left a exhaust plume. The ufo was still at first. Very shiny. It was close enough that I could see the sun reflecting off the hull. At this point I pulled over. I was debating on grabbing my phone but decided to keep my eyes on the craft. The craft started to slowly move within a minute it literally disappeared. Again no clouds in the sky. Just like someone hit a switch. Poof gone. All other planes were still visible at this time. I'm glad I decided to keep my eye on it. Because I witnessed the craft dissappear while I was looking. Ufo was at the height a small plane would fly. About 100 feet long. Very very shiny. When it started moving the sun hit it was very reflective.

We witnessed a light similar to a satellite but moving at MUCH higher rate of speed it traveled across the sky from Sunset towards the opposing horizon before it disappeared it spread into two lights and then condensed back into one and then faded into nothing BEFORE leaving our line of sight

Just after sunset my nephew, brother in-law and sister noticed a very bright singular light moving at a steady paces from SW heading NE. This light changed its direction an brightened an dimmed at various times throughout the sighting. I have had similar experiences with a similar light many times. Living very close to the airport I know this is no aircraft for sure! I also have pictures and videos of similar sightings from a variety of dates since my first sighting of this nature. I also have attempted to communicate using a very high watt LED flashlight whenever I do see them and I seem to get there attention having mimicing responses to my sequences of flashing my light. An have also encountered them coming back around several times from all different directions in one sighting. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD
