Oval over Van Nuys, CA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

At 15:32 on April 21 (today) I was looking straight up into the sky and saw a couple of recent chemtrails stretching across the sky, a common experience. Then 5 shiny blue-green objects appeared in the sky, in close formation. I thought at first they were balloons, moving in a NW direction. Though they were third-dimensional, they were not perfectly spherical. They were quite high up and I couldn’t see the detail. I thought they might be drones, but not skinny at all. Then it appeared that two of them emitted short white cloud-like “chemtrails,” one each. I watched these for a short time, floating in the wind. They started to spread out as chemtrails do. UFO’s disappear. I looked away for no more than a second and when I looked back, the formation of 5 had disappeared completely. They were nowhere in the sky. But the “chemtrails were still there, and started to change shape (as chemtrails never do -- they just spread out.) From the center of each a bulge formed. One of the bulges drifted down, still connected, so the effect was that of a right angle. The other bulge did not drift, but was more rounded than straight. These small cloud-like formations lasted for a while before I went inside. They were two high up to get a good picture.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #126954). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

We saw a blue UFO about 40 degrees up from horizon, moving fast across the sky going around 5 degrees in the upward direction from the horizontal coming from the east with a lingering jet trail. It could have been shot from the ground at an almost horizontal angle.

We saw a round, tuna can-shaped object (a little deeper cylinder than my drawing) with white lights on its two parallel edges, that may have been at jet travel height, flipping over and over while traveling in the same direction it was flipping, in a completely level-looking horizontal trajectory, due east to due west. We had gone out to observe the ISS pass over and when the ISS was almost directly overhead, this thing almost crossed paths with it (although at a lower altitude), its trajectory almost perpendicular to the ISS. Not a satellite or drone. I immediately stopped watching the ISS. I was so awestruck I didn't have the presence of mind to film it with my iPhone until it was miles away, a tiny speck. But, I think I see it flipping in my zoomed-in edit. The original 25 second video became 20 seconds, beginning with10 seconds of nothing prefacing the UAP. As it was only a speck at that point, I did not watch it until it was out of sight. It was only after I zoomed in that I saw that its odd flipping motion was apparent even miles away.

You know how a red safety flare looks when you shoot it up into the sky? It was like that, but bigger than a flare, and going downwards, at a fast speed. It disappeared behind the tree line before I could get a pic or anything. Also it was bright green. However,it was a different color green from the stoplights, and my car wasn't moving, so I know it wasn't a reflection from them?? At first I thought it was a firework, but then it didn't go off like you'd expect it to. It just plummeted downward, and didn't leave a trail of smoke. It's possible it could have been something entering the atmosphere that simply burned green for one reason or another, as it didn't change direction as it fell. But I felt I should report it anyways.

All in all what struck me the most was how slow and steady it was going which is something I never expected. It was as if it was doing a Victory lap or trying to be seen.
