Light over Ivy Bluff, TN
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
At 0520, I observed a bright flash on the western horizon about 25-30 degrees above the treeline. It slowly flashed, disappeared, flashed again repeating itself as it slowly traveled across the bottom of Ursa Minor, Leo, & Jupiter, heading south. My initial thoughts were that this object was tumbling and catching the moon's light every 30 seconds as it rotated thru space. I observed it flash 5 times before I lost it. Objects size appeared about the size of Jupiter (as viewed from Earth) & it passed in front of it. Whatever it was, it was very large & moving on a predictable course. Possibly a large satellite, rocket body, or space debris.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #126085). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
