Object sighted moving rapidly west appearing as what was a small light thought to be a shooting star initially. The object faded but still visible and then became very bright again contiuning to travel west It was very distant and the distance covered within the short span of approximately 2 minutes was large considering it appeared to be a star. The backgrounds of myself and the other observer are both professionally employed, we had both been of a healthy predisposition.
