Light over Ada, MI
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
One bright light, intensity about 3 times brighter than brightest planet on most nights, appeared in the southern sky just as the stars were coming out. Light did not move, but glowed bright white, intensified, then as it began to fade, or dim, it zoomed off in an upward and southeastern direction, fading to nothing as it got further on it's trajectory. Similar to one I spotted winter 2014-15 in same area.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #123340). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

It looked like a drone out our window 100 yards or so. Just sitting in mid air maybe taking photos or video. But if it was, it was the biggest drone I have ever seen. Plus it was not shaped like a drone. Looked more like a big rectangle. Later I thought it might be a balloon until I looked at my photos. It was sitting out the window for about 10 minutes then just slowly started going up and away from my window. I watched it mesmerized for quite some time thinking it was going to fly back to its owner after while. It didn't. I just kept flying or floating upward. Me and two of my co-workers just watched it for a while thinking it had to be some cool new drone. After while as I started to process what I was seeing I thought it would zip off at the speed-of-sound or something but it didn't. It just kept going up and away until it was out of sight.

Very bright light over horizon which moved about 45 degrees over 20 minutes. Similar to bright, flickering star.
