Sphere over Mountain Home, ID
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
It grabbed my full attention when the single sphere split into 4 smaller spheres. Once my brain registered what I witnessed they vanished with no sound, or any type of visual evidence. What a strange occurence.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #122244). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

My husband took the dogs out to potty just before 7 PM MST, when he came back to the house he noticed a strange formation of lights in the sky, like stars but in a distinct straight line. He came in the house to get our little bird scope we have and told me he saw something strange. I thought he may have seen a comet, but when I walked on our deck I saw the same thing he did, a string of around 8 to 10 lights evenly spaced in the southern sky, they appeared to be moving slowly to the east in tandem. We both got a good look through the scope, and then it was gone. Like the lights went out. It looked like it could have been one object by the way it moved but we did not see anything other than the lights. We were unable to get a picture.

I saw two very bright lights and where I saw them there is no street lights at all. It's on a dark highway. I've seen these same lights twice. To bright to be an airplane. They are spaced apart and very bright. I was driving both times alone and took picture's each time. The lights just stayed there in the sky and didn't move either time. The second time I saw the exact same thing was Feb. 27, 2020 at 20:45 hours.

I was driving down N 6th E going south towards the hospital. I noticed 1 light appearing in the sky, It multiplied into 2 more lights; Those lights then went out, And 1 light appeared again and multiplied into 2 more lights; Then went out. I went to the skate park, Parked and saw another light in the sky it also multiplied, I took my phone out and only got it disappearing. Please note, These were not lanterns, I saw them light up in the sky, not float up into the sky.

Was driving a truck eastbound on I-84 towards mountain home. The actual UFO looked to be about where Mountain Home, ID, should have been and maybe even beyond that. I was just around mile marker 70 when I spotted what appeared to be two darker orange glowing objects, both leaving a trail of the same orange streak that seemed to also sort of change to white intermittently. They were coming from the South and flew next to each other in an arc towards the horizon in a North East direction. The entire episode lasted what I would estimate to be between 2-4 minutes in total. Initially, I thought they were jets. Because there is an airfare base in Mountain Home, but these were too colorful (in my opinion) to be jet streams. They were moving fast enough that I didn't think them to be commercial airliners, but still too slow to be meteorites or shooting stars. As the two objects came across my peripheral, they seemed to change from orange to white. Finally, as they were moments from the horizon. The bigger object (or maybe just the closer one) seemed to burst a green glow from the front of it. Something that also made it seem to accelerate in a downward motion towards the horizon. As the flash of green occurred, the smaller object of the two (or maybe just the farther one) seemed to gain momentum and pass the larger object. As it did so, objects became increasingly brighter (orange/white), and trailing the farther object (which at this point seems to be roughly the same size as the larger) has at least 2 white dots following behind it. So in a line, the farthest object that now appears to be the same size and ahead of the close one, and behind it a least 2, possibly 3 white dots following behind in it's orange trail. Close behind is the second original object with it's own trail. Could not distinguish any objects in the second one's trail...mostly out of excitement. Seconds after these extra objects were noticed, the whole formation of lights and trails disappeared behind what might have been mountains over the far North East horizon. I'm not opposed to constructive criticism in any way, so if this sounds like a normal happenstance involving meteorites or something similar please let me know. I've looked into videos of shooting stars and things but haven't seen anything closely resembling what I experienced this last night driving. Chinese rocket re-entry. PD

I was driving home from my parents house, when I looked towards Boise there was a very bright orange colored light in the sky. When I turned down a road that let me look directly at the light a second one appeared. I lost sight of lights behind some trees. I called my dad and he stepped outside of his house in time to see a light vanish. I got off the phone with him and my brother had called him to say he saw the same lights and after the one light had turned into two. They merged back together before vanishing.
