Light over Columbus, OH
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Myself and a friend were sitting outside and we saw an amber light (ball) appear on the horizon, it was low, perhaps 5000 feet, no noise whatsoever, and traveling at the speed which one could say was similar to a small high performance prop aircraft, faster than a helicopter but not real real fast. We watched it track closer and it took a gradual curve and we watched it as it slowly disappeared on the far horizon. We then saw a second one, originating at the same point as the first one, it too followed a similar path. Subsequently, there were 3 or 4 more, and at one point we had eyeballs on two of them as one was fading and another had started. I'm gonna say each one from start to finish was about two minutes. My friend lives in a neighborhood with curving streets all over so unfortunately I cannot give you an orientation as to North/South etc., as I'm not sure the exact direction where they first manifested since I have no clue as to which way the backyard faces. Note, there are a few similar reports. Very interesting. No noise whatsoever. The color was almost exactly like a street lamp, the amberish ones. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #122102). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

After seeing numerous orbs in this area in 2022, this is only the second sighting of them in 2023. I checked my apps like Flight Radar to confirm it was not a plane or weather balloon. I am guessing it was floating above at about 2,500 feet. It stopped momentarily above me, then continued on. I have a bit of footage of it on my iPhone, but i had my dog on a leash pulling me around. I was unable to get in my house in time to grab binoculars, so for this sighting, video is all I have. The orb was identical to other orbs I've been seeing every once in a while. There was absolutely no sound, and there were jetliners to the left of it at a much higher altitude. This orb was glowing and spinning. I wonder in anyone else in North Columbus saw it?

One White object that appeared to change shape as it moved through space. Was up as high as a plane, flying over the 270/315 area. My husband and I both witnessed it. A lot of birds were flying around the area which caused us to step outside, I looked over to the south side of our house and saw it in the air. [NUFORC annotation: Balloon - Probable]

I saw an orb flying fast 3 different days at the same location. Fortunately I could record it the last time but I used my phone to do so. I’m not sure what it was but I felt I should report it. Attached is a screenshot from my video recording.
