Diamond over Snoqualmie National Forest, WA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I was camping off of a logging trail in the Snoqualmie National Forest on June 26, 2015, the campsite was on the side of a remote mountain in a timber stand, My companions and I sighted an orange glow through the trees and thought it was Saturn which was supposed to be visible at this time, we hiked to the top of the mountain where a large installation of remote power lines lay, upon reaching the top we quickly realized this was not Saturn... but a slow moving diamond shaped object which glowed extremely bright orange/reddish. The object moved in slow circles above the power line installation which stretched down the mountain we were on and up and over the mountain in front of us, and seemed to be right above the power lines a few hundred feet from the mountain top, this object was so bright it was almost blinding the look at, and seemed to have a massive corona around it, there was no sound, but the power lines above us were making a loud crackling static noise, this object continued to slowly move in circles, i snapped multiple pictured before my phone died, and upon inspection of the photos, i realized there was a second object rotating around the main object that i couldn't see due to how bright the aura or smoky haze was that it was engulfed in.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #143957). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
