Light over Canterbury, NH

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

On April 11 at 2:17 am my girlfriend and I were driving to work on I-93 South in NH near the Canterbury Exit. We both saw an orange light traveling through the southwest sky from right to left diagonally towards the horizon. The light was dark orange in color and did not have a tail. It travelled for approximately 3 seconds and then disappeared. It travelled fast than a satellite but slower than a meteor and did not appear to fizzle out, it just disappeared.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #118421). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
