I took a picture of the sun raising over Fountain Lake with my iPhone 6. When I posted the picture To Facebook, I noticed the blue/greenish orb to the south of the sun. I am not aware of any tall features in that area of the park that would reflect the sun, so thought I'd send it to you. We suspect the small green orb is a lens flare. PD

I was walking out to the parking lot of Eagles Landing condos and viewed an object at about 200 ft above the ground, traveling silently at about 200 miles per hour, the size of a small commercial aircraft, apparent wings fixed and apparently in a slight descent. It shot over my head and disappeared in a northerly direction, wings remaining fixed and without sound. It was way too large to be a known animal. The sky is clear, stars are visible (Fountain Hills is a dark-sky community), and the object did not apparently crash audibly. This is my second encounter with something unexplained in Fountain Hills, as I witnessed a motor vehicle apparently disappear in the same area several months ago after sunset. Its headlights vanished within a mile of contact as we were approaching one another on the road. No trace.

Kept moving it would head west past the Ursa Minor arc and we lost sight of it until it was directly overhead. Had small lights and would have red flashes on the right and top side independent of movement

While traveling south on hwy 87 at approximately 22:30 hours and just north of Fountain Hills AZ I first spotted what looked like a police stopped vehicle ahead of me a couple miles when I came to Sycamore Creek and Hwy 87 at the Log Coral Wash area. As I approached I then noticed the lights were not a police vehicle but a stationary light on a hill that was changing color from red to green then blue. I could see the outline of the top of the hill and knowing the area well there are no roads that take you to the top of this hill. I pulled over to get a video of the light and it appeared to be sitting on the ground as I could see the outlines of boulders around it. I recorded this for approximately 30 seconds with the light changing colors and you can see vehicles tail lights below it on the highway. This area is approximately near mile marker 212-213 on Hwy 87

These craft are seen several nights per week over McDowell mountain park in the area that borders the north west corner of the town of Fountain Hills and the Eastern slopes of the McDowell Mountains. This area is very dark with virtually no light polution. Any resident living in this area that borders the park can or has seen them, their are perhaps 100 homes in the area that back up to the park. One simple explanation might be the Apache Longbow helicopter manufacturing plant about 15 miles south of the park I have seen them their many times running in silent mode, this is a test area for them, however day's and times of testing can be verified. These craft don't move like a helicopter and and have no visible rotors, when viewed with night vision equipment they are longer and more oval shaped and they disappear straight up or at an angle and disappear out of sight in seconds, they have no visable exterior lights, they are just black objects against the night sky, they rarely ever appear on nights when the moon shines bright. 2 bright spheres hovering over Fort McDowell. Looked like some sort of helicopter or plane close to spheres. One suddenly vanished.

2 Fireballs seen over Fountain Hills, AZ. Poorly photographed with my phone. The fireballs flew approximately 1500 meters overhead, from east to west, making absolutely no sound. They were a bright red/orange color and they flew in the same path, hovered briefly then continued on until making a sharp ascent disappearing into the night sky. I see them often, they are not planes (no navigation beacons) they do not follow the standard flight paths, they are not helicopters, nor are the lanterns, flares, or fireworks. I am not sure what they are and I am both fascinated and maybe little frightened by them. They appear more often now than in past years.
